About the Club
The HBS Association of Boston is one of the oldest HBS alumni clubs (formed in 1923) and one of the strongest (the 3rd largest US alumni club). The club hosts over 40 events per year. The club holds its Annual Meeting at HBS in last Sping. Past speakers have included Earl Sasser and Walt Salmon. Our most popular programs include an HBS Entrepreneurs Speakers Series, Dinners at Great Restaurants, and leadership breakfast meetings with well known CEOs.

The Club in the Community

Community Action Partners (CAP) was established in 1993 under the umbrella of HBSAB to bring together HBS alumni and local non-profit organizations in volunteer consulting projects. The mission of the Community Action Partners is to serve the Boston community by providing pro bono business consulting to nonprofit organizations; and serve Harvard Business School alumni in the Boston area by providing opportunities to channel their business skills into community service. Hundreds of alumni have participated in over 100 CAP projects since its inception in 1993. Projects have included working with a diverse array of more than 60 Greater Boston nonprofit organizations in such areas as community development, the arts, health and human services, education, the environment, and youth-oriented agencies. Each year, between 90-100 HBS graduates in the Boston area derive tremendous satisfaction through seeing their experience and advice help a wide variety of non-profit organizations. They typically invest 2-3 hours per week.
